I have a little bragging to do! On the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Quiltbug shop traded fat quarters for food donations to the local food pantry. This time our generous customers filled up THREE car trunks full! We received the loveliest thank you note from them. It’s troubling to realize that people *are* having to choose between keeping warm and eating, and I am glad we could help.
Speaking of Thank You, watch the movie at: http://www.gratitudecampaign.org/ It will bring a tear to your eye.

Did you know NORAD (the North American Aerospace Defense Command)tracks Santa? On Christmas Eve in 1955 a Sears Roebuck & Co. store in Colorado Springs advertised a special hotline number for kids to call Santa. Unfortunately, the number was misprinted. The number called the NORAD, and the good natured staff there checked and found that indeed there were signs of Santa, and merrily gave the children who called an update on his location. Thus, a tradition was born, and NORAD has continued to help children track Santa on Christmas Eve ever since. Now they have a website, complete with games for kids to play. Check it out at http://www.noradsanta.org/
I am very excited about this years New Years Eve mystery. I am working on it now, and I hope to be able to offer something never before seen online. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to spoil the surprise. Look for an announcement after the holidays.
Another first: I am also offering this mystery in the shop on New Years Eve. This is a free class but you must sign up first. If you are interested, call the shop and let us know
Last but not least, I will leave you with a Christmas card from Ashland University:
