# How to Make the Dino Rocks! Quilt

Make the DinoRoars! Quilt. This quilt was designed to take advantage of [**QT Fabrics**](https://www.qtfabrics.com/) Dinoroars line of fabric.

## How to Make the Dino Rocks! Quilt

### **Fabric Requirements**

- DinoRoars Dinosaur Picture Patches Panel QT#30809K
- 1-1/4 yard Dinosaurs Medallions QT#30811B
- 1/4 yard Dino Heads on Blue QT#30812B
- 1/4 yard Dino Tracks on Yellow QT#30813S
- 7/8 yard Foliage Texture on Gray QT#30815K
- 3/4 yard Dinosaurs Toss on Gray QT#30810K
- 5/8 yards Foliage Texture on Evergreen QT#30815F
- 3-3/4 yards Backing

### This is an easy quilt to make! 

First, cut the panel into 4 pictures of dinosaurs. You will get (6) 13-1/2″ squares. I drew a pencil mark around the 4 squares before cutting just to double check the size.

### The Alternate Block

The alternate block is a square-in-a-square block that is also 13-1/2″. (Those are my [Ginger Shears](https://amzn.to/40EeZp9) above. )

You start with a square block featuring even more wonderful dinosaurs. Those pieced corners aren’t hard. Just sew a triangle on one side of a square, press, and sew on the second triangle.

They will stick out a little, but that’s okay. That excess will be your seam allowance.

Make the other two corners the same way. Square up the block to 13-1/2″, taking care not to cut into the 1/4″ seam allowance.

### Making the Rows and the Quilt Top

Sew two rows of panel blocks between pieced blocks, and two rows of of pieced blocks between panel blocks.

Sew the rows to make the top, add the borders, and you are done!
