Years to Come – 2008 New Years Eve Quilt Mystery

Years to Come

How is your New Year? We brought it in with a bang with the New Years Day mystery!  I posted some pictures below. Yes, for everyone who asked, I do plan on doing more videos. I am a little buried right now, but I promise I will get to it!

Congratulations to: Birdie in Maryland who won a $50 gift certificate for being the first to send me a picture of the completed top and to Jane C who won a $50 gift certificate for being the first to send me a picture of the completed quilt.

I will be honest with y’all – that was a bribe on my part. I was hoping that someone who might be tempted to leave their top a UFO (I actually prefer the term “Unfinished Symphony”) would finish just to get the prize. And that is exactly what happened. Jane told me that this is her first foray into quilting again in a long while and she was determined to finish and get that gift certificate! Which she did, and spent it on more quilting goodies. That cackling sound is me, delighted that we snagged another one…

I am going to guess that y’all liked the worlds first ever Video Mystery Quilt.  Here are just a few of the comments I received:

It was such fun seeing the videos along with the instructions! I tried the pillow method on a practice block and MAN was that SLICK!! A very accurate way to make QSTs and HSTs and a very cool way to do it. Marcia

The videos were real easy to watch and the information helped me understand some of the things I had tried to understand but could not picture.  Charlotte.
