Mardi Gras Magic Quilt – Making the Pinwheels

To make the pinwheels, assemble:

(40) Fleur-de-lis HSTs
(40) Jester HSTs

Sew (2) HSTs side by side. Make (20) sets of each colorway. Press to the right. Use these two-patch sets to create (10) pinwheels of each colorway. Press the center seam open and square up your pinwheel to
6-1/2″.

Here are my block steps.

Pinwheel Step 1 — The two HSTs sewn together. Press both to the right. When you turn the bottom one upside down, the seams will face in opposite directions.

Pinwheel Step 2 — Sew the two-patch sections together to make a pinwheel. Press that center seam open! It will help you match up the blocks later on. Square up to 6-1/2″ if necessary.

Clue Six (2PM EST)
Clue Seven (3PM EST)
Clue Eight (4PM EST) (short clue)
Clue Nine (5PM EST)
