Hello, and thanks for visiting! I am delighted to see you all here. We have a lot of new members this month so I will tell you a little bit about me. I travel with the Quiltbus, a shuttle bus we converted into a mobile quilt shop. This month we are taking our mobile shop on a trip through Michigan, Indiana and Western NY stopping at one museum, two churches and two libraries along the way. This is a little unusual for us, normally we are sponsored by guilds and quilting retreats. Will we stop near you?
Speaking of retreats, the bus will be at several in the near future. August 25 -27, we will be visiting Pyramid Lake NY where I will be teaching the No Whining! Class. This is a class where everything you do is right, so no seam rippers are allowed. It is a fun, free-spirited class held in a lakeside rustic retreat and it is very reasonably priced.
Our next retreat will be held Sept 11 – 15 at the Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts in South Ludlow VT. I will not be teaching there, this is a bus only event.
Following that will be a retreat at Frost Valley in Claryville NY. This time I am teaching A Gaggle of Geese, a class where we try all sorts of different methods to make flying geese and use our samples to make a truly magnificent quilt.
You don’t have to purchase a postcard. Have you ever made one? It’s a super way to express your creativity and, yes, they can be mailed! Every month, I do try to have a new informational article ready for y’all. If you are looking for any misc information, check out http://phoebemoon.com/tutorials/default.htm. There is all sorts of wonderful information connected to that page. Our most recent article is about the latest quilting craze, Inklingo. What is it? I have a couple more fun URLs for you: this one, http://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/usmap.jsp is from Cindy Brick (http://www.cindybrick.com) and shows delayed flights. Watch out for those red dots!

Don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter! Once a week, I send updates on quilt-related information I have found while wandering the web. This might be an inspiring article, a tip or tutorial I have discovered (or written), and occasionally exclusive offers & discounts as well as immediate access to the secret page of free patterns, guides, and printables. You can follow my page on Facebook, or join the Make Believe Quilters group, too.
